NT Service Message After Uninstalling

This could happen if uninstall shield did not properly remove the registry key, to remove this error you need to manually edit your registry.

This can be very dangerous so make sure you make a copy of your registry (System.Dat & User.Dat) before you continue.

  1. Press Start
  2. Select Run
  3. Type RegEdit
  4. Open the Key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE by clicking on the little + in front of it
  5. Open the Key System by clicking on the little + in front of it
  6. Open the Key CurrentControlSet by clicking on the little + in front of it
  7. Open the Key Services by clicking on the little + in front of it
  8. Locate the Key DLPortIO and click once on it
  9. Press Delete on your keyboard
  10. Make sure you have the right Key selected and confirm it’s deletion
  11. Close RegEdit
  12. Reboot and the message should be gone.
